I downloaded the "headset controller" app from the android play store and was able to turn the remote on the earbuds into much more than call and volume control! Now I can skip songs, go backwards, and control volume/call.
These earbuds were great when I got them, but their potential has been unleashed with the app! I would definitely recommend these pair, and will probably buy another set to keep as a spare.
EDIT 3/8/14: I ordered the red pair of these earbuds to replace my current pair and the earbuds that arrived were NOT what is pictured. There is no volume control button, only a pause/answer call button and a mic. Buyer beware!
